Committees

ITS Minnesota has five standing committees, each focusing on specific activities of the chapter. The President appoints committee chairs. The committees depend on volunteers from member organizations. New committee volunteers are welcome at all times - please contact the committee (see links below). Committee chairs participate in the monthly board meetings.

Membership Committee 

    • Description: The Membership Committee is responsible for the recruitment and retention of our member organizations.  Without the support of our membership organizations, ITS MN would not be able to offer the services that we provide to our industry. 
    • Chair: Amanda Brown, General Traffic Controls, Co-Chair: Todd Olson, Alliant Engineering

Program and Education Committee

    • Description: The Program and Education Committee is responsible for organizing our two annual events (the Fall Forum and Annual Meeting), providing training for our members, and coordinating luncheons and social outings.
    • Chair: Tim Young, Bolton & Menk; Co-Chair: Don VanGorp, Mobotrex

Marketing & Outreach Committee

    • Description: The Marketing and Outreach Committee works to bring awareness of ITS MN activities to outside organizations by involvement in conferences and student outreach.
    • Co-Chairs: Jacob Folkeringa, Bolton & Menk and Linda Priesen, Athey Creek.

Communications Committee

    • Description: The Communications Committee is responsible for managing our website.
    • Chair: Dan Nelson, AECOM

Scholarships & Career Guidance Committee 

    • Description: The Scholarship and Career Guidance Committee is responsible for soliciting our scholarship applications to local universities and high schools and selecting the scholarship winners.
    • Chair: Darrin Rickbeil, Bolton & Menk

Emerging Technologies Committee (Joint Technical Committee with NCITE)

    • Description: In conjunction with the North Central Institute of Transportation Engineers (NCITE), the Emerging Technologies Committee seeks to educate members from both organizations with the latest technologies in the transportation field.
    • Chair: Nathan Wade, Flow Labs. Co-Chair: Jake Eisinger, Washington County (on behalf of NCITE)
